NextGen Wisconsin: Calls out Walker’s record on education after debate

In 2011, Scott Walker cut more funding to schools per student than any other governor in the United States. In tonight’s debate, Walker made deceptive statements about his record on education. In response, NextGen Wisconsin Youth Organizing Director George Olufosoye released the following statement:

“Tonight, Scott Walker tried to mislead us about his record on education, but young Wisconsinites see through his lies. When he cut more funding to our schools than any other Governor in the nation, we were the ones who felt the harmful effects in our classrooms. We may have been too young to vote back then, but now, we’re ready to hold him accountable for attacking our schools and our future — and we will show up in force to elect Tony Evers on November 6.”
