Today, the Trump Administration approved a proposal from Scott Walker to add work requirements to the state’s Medicaid program, which is estimated to result in over 5,000 Wisconsinites losing coverage. In response, NextGen Wisconsin Youth Organizing Director George George Olufosoye released the following statement:

“Today, Scott Walker and Donald Trump carried out yet another attack on our access to affordable health care. Walker is purposefully choosing to strip Wisconsinites of health care coverage, putting up barriers between low-income Wisconsinites and their health care to score political points. But less than one week from today, young voters will reject the cruel policies of Scott Walker and elect Tony Evers, who will take action to make sure people’s right to health care is expanded rather than curtailed.”
