NextGen Wisconsin to register and mobilize young Americans on National Voter Registration Day
NextGen organizers and volunteers will register young voters and recruit volunteers on 26 campuses across Wisconsin
Wisconsin — On Tuesday, September 25, NextGen Wisconsin will register young Americans to vote on 26 campuses across the state in celebration of National Voter Registration Day. NextGen organizers and volunteers aim to register hundreds of young Wisconsinites on Tuesday, and will engage students at events like voter registration carnivals at UW-Madison and UW-Green Bay. Young people are the fastest-growing and most progressive electorate in the country, and they are mobilizing to voice their resistance to the dangerous agenda of the Trump Administration and Republican allies like Scott Walker at the ballot box this November.
With an initial $2.5 million investment, NextGen Wisconsin is working to register, engage, and organize young voters across the state to defeat Scott Walker, re-elect Tammy Baldwin, and flip the First Congressional District. With over 65 staff and fellows already on the ground, NextGen is working to organize young voters in their communities and has already pledged over 37,000 young Wisconsinites to vote this year.
