MADISON, Wis. — One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross released the following statements about a federal court ruling that says Donald Trump cannot block twitter users based on their political views. One Wisconsin Now filed a lawsuit in November 2017 against Wisconsin Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Republican Reps. John Nygren and Jesse Kremer for blocking One Wisconsin Now on their official government twitter accounts.
“We are encouraged by this ruling and the fact elected Republicans are being reminded that when they create a public forum, they can’t silence people with whom they disagree,” said Scot Ross, One Wisconsin Now Executive Director. “The First Amendment applies to elected officials like Donald Trump just like it applies to elected officials to Robin Vos, John Nygren and even Jesse Kremer.”
