RACINE—Progressive Turnout Project will join the Families Belong Together Day of Action in Racine in response to the Trump administration’s inhumane immigration policy. The organization’s local staff and supporters will stand with allies and participate in their local rallies in opposition to the separation and detention of immigrant families.
“On June 30 we are rallying to send a clear message to Donald Trump and Congress: families belong together and free,” said Communications Director Priyal Amin. “Separating families at the border and locking them up in jails is not only cruel, but it is inhumane and we will fight to stop it.”
Earlier this year, Progressive Turnout Project announced an $8 million program investment that includes staff on the ground in 18 competitive congressional districts. The investment includes Wisconsin’s 1st congressional district.
