PROSPERITY ACTION PAC MAKES LARGEST ONE-TIME TRANSFERS AHEAD OF 2018 CAMPAIGN

PAC Is Giving More Than $700,000 To Over 140 Republican House Members After Record 2017 Fundraising

WASHINGTON, DC — First reported earlier today by Axios, Wisconsin’s 1st District Congressman and House Speaker Paul Ryan announced this morning that Prosperity Action PAC would be making its largest transfers of the year, giving $715,000 to 143 different Republican lawmakers.

These transfers come on the heels of Ryan’s record-breaking 2017 fundraising, where he hauled in more than $44 million, the most ever raised by a House Speaker the year before a midterm election.

“House Republicans have spent the past year keeping their promise to pass conservative policies and working to help the American people keep more of what they earn. The largest result of that is now being felt after the passage of generational tax reform,” said Kevin Seifert, executive director of Ryan’s political operations. “Whether it’s higher wages for workers, bonuses for people that need them the most, or the $2,000 that the average family will save, this tax package is improving life across the board for so many Americans, as is cutting red tape and shrinking government bureaucracy. The Speaker wants to make sure that our members have the resources they need to talk about this success story.”

Paul Ryan is the Representative for Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District and House Speaker. He serves as Honorary Chairman of Prosperity Action, Inc., a leadership PAC. For more information, please visit www.prosperitypac.com.
