The RAGA’s latest TV ad praises GOP incumbent Brad Schimel for addressing untested rape kits while calling Dem rival Josh Kaul inexperienced and dangerous.
The spot will run for about two weeks on broadcast, cable and satellite, the Republican Attorneys General Association said. It’s part of the group’s $2.5 million ad campaign in the Wisconsin race, and the RAGA said it put six-figures behind the new spot.
The narrator opens the spot saying “decades of partisan bickering” resulted in thousands of rape kits sitting untested in Wisconsin. But then “we elected Brad Schimel” and he “got to work solving a 20-year problem.”
The narrator then pivots to his “liberal opponent” Kaul, who served as a federal prosecutor in Maryland. The narrator says he’s never “prosecuted a sex crime case or put a single criminal behind bars here in Wisconsin.”
The narrator closes the spot, “How are we supposed to trust another DC liberal like Josh Kaul? Inexperienced. Dangerous. Josh Kaul: Wrong for Wisconsin.”
