MADISON, WI. March 12, 2018 –Manufacturers looking for ways to grow their businesses can learn more about financial and technical assistance available at the state and local levels at the Real Resources for Manufacturers event on March 21 in Racine County.
The free event will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Gateway Technical College’s SC Johnson iMET Center, 2320 Renaissance Blvd. in Sturtevant. It is presented by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP), the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) and the Racine County Economic Development Corporation.
During the event, businesses will learn more about local and state low-interest loan programs and a new productivity tool available from WEDC and WMEP called the Transformational Productivity Initiative (TPI). TPI helps benchmark a company’s performance and provides a roadmap to improving the factors that could increase profitability.
A representative from WHEDA will provide information on financing available to businesses. There also will be an overview of the Wisconsin Fast Forward Program, which awards grants to companies to support demand-driven workforce training initiatives.
A 90-minute presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session, and after the event, representatives of all organizations will be on hand to answer individual questions from attendees.
