DE PERE, WI – “I’m prepared to run and ready to serve people in the 1st Senate District,” said Alex Renard, Republican candidate for the Wisconsin’s 1st Senate District seat. “I have grown up here, created jobs here, learned to hunt and fish here, and I want to do whatever I can to help move our families forward.”

This morning, Governor Walker called a Special Election for the 1st Senate District seat. The primary election will be held on Tuesday, May 15 and the general election is schedule for Tuesday, June 12.

Renard, the Operations Manager at Renco Machine Company in Green Bay, manages the family-owned company started by his grandparents. He is eager to serve the area with the same energy that he brings to successfully running a business.

Renard describes himself as a conservative outsider who believes in dedicated, hard work, and views public service as a vocation, not as a career. “I’m a conservative, an outsider, and a job creator. I’m 100% pro-life, and a passionate defender of our Second Amendment rights,” Renard said. “I believe in the virtue of work and in limited government.”

“I’m excited to continue to build and grow relationships with all the residents of the 1st Senate District,” Renard said. Wisconsin’s 1st Senate District stretches from Washington Island south to Two Rivers and west to Outagamie County. “My walking shoes are laced up and our campaign is moving down the road to victory.”
