Madison… State Representative Joan Ballweg (R-Markesan) congratulates students from the 41st Assembly District who were selected as part of March’s Youth Art Month. Student art work was displayed in the Capitol rotunda through March 9th.
Rep. Ballweg would like to congratulate the following students and their teachers:
Jonny Alvarez, Timber Melvin and Matthew Schiefer – Teacher, Leah Keller – Adams-Friendship Elementary School
Allison Brasch, Phoebe Emsley and Emily Jahnke – Teacher, Angela Breunig – Berlin High School
Audra Kramer, Ivy LeDioyt and Travis Pham – Teacher, Lori Rademann – Clay Lamberton Elementary School
Bayley Heidt and Savanna Peterson – Teacher, Stacey Hein – Markesan High School
Katelyn Mathes and Julia Skamra – Teacher, Alicia M. Young – Ripon High School
“Congratulations to these talented young artists and their teachers,” said Ballweg. “Youth Art Month emphasizes the value of art education for all children and encourages communities to support quality art programs. Visual arts help to develop student’s social, intellectual and emotional skills including problem solving and creativity, which employers are looking for. It shows that these programs can pay off down the road in more ways than one.”
