Madison…Governor Walker delivered the annual State of the State Address on January 24th in the Assembly Chambers where he revealed his agenda for 2018. Agenda priorities include, welfare reform, K-12 funding, improving healthcare, expanding economic development in Wisconsin, and more.

“I am proud to see Governor Walker prioritizing rural Wisconsin,” Ballweg said. “He is continuing to invest more money in rural schools and economic development that helps districts like mine.”

This year, the legislature approved a historic $639 million for K-12 funding in Wisconsin and partially repealed the personal property tax to give relief to small businesses. The state’s reforms and wise fiscal management resulted in the Reform Dividend. The Reform Dividend will be used by Governor Walker and the legislature to invest in these agenda priorities.
