(MADISON) – Rep. Gary Hebl (D-Sun Prairie) issued the following statement on Tuesday’s gas line explosion in Sun Prairie:
I am absolutely heartbroken by what happened yesterday in Sun Prairie. My heart goes out to the friends and family of Cory Barr, the firefighter who lost his life, as well as the other first responders and civilians who were injured in the explosion.
Sun Prairie is a strong, growing community, and I know that we will come together to begin the healing process after a disaster such as this. I am thankful for the emergency services personnel who helped clear the area and kept so many people safe from the blast. Their actions prevented even more devastation, and I am eternally grateful for their selfless actions and sacrifices.
