Madison – Today, Rep. Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton) was recognized by the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) as a Woman in Politics Making a Difference.
The Women in Politics Making a Difference Awards recognize outstanding women who are making their marks in state legislatures and communities. Nominees are reviewed and selected to ensure that a bipartisan, diverse group of women is represented. Each year, four women, two Republicans and two Democrats, are chosen.
“I am incredibly honored to be nominated and receive this recognition from NSCL. I have always pledged to be a resource and an advocate for my district, and I’m proud that my work in the state legislature and in my community is reflective of that,” said Rep. Loudenbeck.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) said “While some state legislators become an expert in one specific topic, Rep. Loudenbeck is making an impact on a large number of important issue areas and creating noteworthy legislation that can serve as a model for the country. I’m very proud of Rep. Loudenbeck and the work she has accomplished during her time in the legislature.”
Rep. Loudenbeck was nominated and selected based on her work in several areas including; combating human trafficking, working with emergency responders to create the Community EMS program, and protecting the state’s Stewardship Program.
Rep. Loudenbeck is joined by Rep. Geran Tarr (D-Alaska), Sen. Sara Howard (D-Nebraska) and Rep. Jeanette Nuñez (R-Florida) in receiving this honor from NCSL.
