Madison— Today State Representative Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee) issued the following statement in response to Governor Walker’s State of the State Address:
“I applaud Governor Walker’s Ambitious Agenda for 2018. Our economy is growing and our reforms to state government are working. As a result, we have a budget surplus, and I support returning a portion of this surplus to the hard-working citizens of our state. This is their reform dividend; they deserve it.
As a husband and father to a one-year old daughter with a son on the way, I appreciate Governor Walker’s proposal to create a child tax credit in Wisconsin. Like other young families, my wife and I recognize the high cost of raising children and providing for them. Every bit helps.
Finally, I support the Governor’s welfare reform package. It is time to get serious about transitioning people from welfare to the workforce, because Wisconsin needs more workers.”
