Madison, WI – Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt will receive the 2018 “Building Wisconsin” award, presented by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin. The award is in recognition of Representative Thiesfeldt’s leadership in enacting legislation that benefits the state’s construction industry.
During the 2017-2018 legislative session, Representative Thiesfeldt cosponsored Senate Bill 3, which allows all qualified contractors to have a fair shot at performing work paid with tax dollars, and introduced Assembly Bill 508, which expands apprenticeship in our state to allow more workers to receive training for family-sustaining jobs.
“It is an honor to be recognized for supporting legislation that reinforces free market principles and reduces barriers for new apprentices entering the workforce,” said Representative Thiesfeldt “I am proud of the work ABC of Wisconsin is doing to grow the construction industry and look forward to working with their organization to bring more quality jobs to our state in the future.”
