Madison: Two school districts in the 25th Assembly District were awarded grant funding through the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) School Safety Grant program. Valders Area School District will receive $45,761 and Hilbert School District will receive $17,476 for building improvements and staff training.

“Wisconsin remains committed to ensuring our children have a safe place to learn,” said Rep. Tittl (R-Manitowoc), who represents the 25th Assembly District. “These efforts don’t let up when classes are released for the summer. I am thankful for the DOJ’s hard work and grateful that schools in our area are receiving grant money.”

Over $10.2 million has been allocated to 147 schools and school districts through the program, with more grants to be awarded in the near future. The DOJ’s Office of School Safety administers the program.
