Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) has released the following statement after Rep. Tom Weatherston (R-Caledonia) announced that he will retire from the Wisconsin State Assembly at the end of the legislative session.
“I would like to thank my friend and colleague for his service to the Wisconsin State Assembly. It has been a privilege working with him and advancing our shared priorities for Racine County and the state.
“As an Air Force veteran, he has been a strong advocate for Wisconsin veterans throughout his three terms in office. I’m also grateful for his work to bring more career opportunities to our state and Racine County.
“Tom has been a public servant for the last decade. I’m happy that he can now spend more time with his fiancé, Theresa, enjoy his hobbies and travel more often, especially to see his son and his family in Colorado. I want to wish him and his family the very best in their future.”
