WisGOP: Tony Evers plays up meeting with President Trump while his Lt. Governor compares President Trump to Nazi Germany

[Madison, WI]— Tony Evers met with President Trump yesterday at the White House and called it a ‘privilege.’ While on the campaign trail, Tony Evers’ running mate alleged that President Trump’s policies were a ‘race to create a superior race’ and that he wasn’t interested in support from Obama-Trump voters. Once again Tony Evers’ actions don’t match his words.

“Tony Evers touting his meeting with President Trump as a ‘privilege’ is nothing more than a stunt to appease voters this ticket alienated regularly during the campaign,” said Republican Party of Wisconsin Executive Director Mark Morgan. “Tony Evers’ own running mate insulted Trump supporters and attacked the President in unhinged rants. Until Evers’ actions match his words it’s clear he has no serious intention to engage with Wisconsin’s Trump voters.”
