The conservative Restoration PAC today announced a $1 million TV buy promoting GOP U.S. Senate candidate Kevin Nicholson, saying reality turned the business consultant into a conservative, “just like with Ronald Reagan.”

Nicholson is the former president of the national College Democrats and has faced questions about his conservative credentials. It’s the second TV the group has don comparing Nicholson to Reagan.

The narrator mentions the former Marine’s more than 100 combat missions in Iraq and the birth of his children while saying, “It all shaped his conversion.” Now, Nicholson is “passionate about spreading his conservative agenda to help Wisconsin families like his,” the narrator says.

The narrator adds Nicholson believes in the Second Amendment, the right to life and “like President Trump, wants to build a wall to secure our border.”

“Kevin Nicholson is the right choice for U.S. Senate,” the narrator says to close the spot.

The group, which is backed financially by Illinois businessman Richard Uihlein, said the ad will run statewide on broadcast and cable TV through early June.
