An editorial on the conservative news site RightWisconsin is calling for an end to the delays in the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.
“After watching the hearings on Thursday, we felt compelled to call for an immediate vote to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court,” said Editor James Wigderson. “The delays have gone on long enough and irreparable harm is being done to our republic by power-seeking Democratic senators who lack any standards of decency.”
Wisconsin’s Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin demonstrated that she has no interest in fairness when she declared her opposition to Kavanaugh’s nomination shortly after it was announced. With no understanding of his judicial philosophy and without even meeting Kavanaugh, Baldwin was willing to let liberal special interests dictate her vote.
“Sadly, Baldwin’s complete lack of principles and character is being reflected by the rest of her caucus,” Wigderson said. “Sen. Dianne Feinstein sat on the Ford letter like Baldwin sitting on an Inspector General report. Now the country has to endure Democratic hypocrisy as they call for more delays. Enough is enough”
The editorial calls for a vote to confirm Kavanaugh as quickly as Senate procedures will allow.
“Any delay now would be an unconscionable and unpardonable injustice,” the editorial says.
