AFTER HISTORIC 2017 FUNDRAISING, RYAN HAS NEARLY $10 MILLION ON HAND

Congressional Campaign Enters Election Year With Record Amount In The Bank

JANESVILLE, WI — The re-election campaign of Wisconsin’s 1st District Congressman and House Speaker Paul Ryan announced it will enter 2018 with nearly $10 million on hand, a record amount heading into an election year.

The campaign pulled in $1.4 million in the final quarter of 2017 and had approximately $9.7 million in its congressional account to end the year. Of the $1.4 million raised in the fourth quarter, over $270,000 was raised directly into Ryan For Congress, with the remainder coming in the form of transfers from Team Ryan, a joint-fundraising committee that supports Speaker Ryan’s political efforts.

“Like he has done since he was first elected, Paul spent the past year fighting for the best interest of Southeastern Wisconsin and working to advance policies like tax reform that will put more money back in the pockets of his constituents,” said Kevin Seifert, Executive Director of Ryan’s political team. “This historic fundraising number means that we’ll have the resources to let voters across the First District know that when it comes to growing the economy, making government accountable, or keeping our country safe, Paul is always looking out for the people he represents.”

Ryan has represented Wisconsin’s First Congressional District since 1998, and was re-elected in 2016 by more than 30 points. For more information, please visit www.ryanforcongress.com.
