Marathon County Democratic District Attorney Joins Republican Vilas County District Attorney
Fifty District Attorneys Now Support Real Wisconsin Prosecutor Brad Schimel
[Wisconsin…] Since Sunday’s debate, two more District Attorneys have endorsed Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel’s re-election, including yet another elected Democrat.
“Because he eliminated the rape kit backlog, is leading the nation in the fight against opioids and is prosecuting internet crimes against children, elder abuse and so much more, Brad Schimel has emerged as the consensus choice for Attorney General,” said Schimel campaign manager Johnny Koremenos.
Marathon County District Attorney Theresa Wetzsteon, a Democrat, and Vilas County District Attorney Martha Milanowski, a Republican, are supporting Schimel, who has spent his career prosecuting criminals and getting justice for victims in Wisconsin.
Schimel now has the support of 40 Republican, eight Democrat and two independent District Attorneys from every part of the state.
More Democratic Sheriffs and District Attorneys are backing the Republican Schimel than are supporting the Democratic candidate, Madison Activist Josh Kaul. In addition to the 50 DAs, Schimel has the support of 64 Sheriffs, 13 of whom are Democrats.
“This is another in a series of bad days for Madison Activist Josh Kaul who is so inexperienced and so out of the mainstream that his floundering campaign can’t even gain traction with his fellow Democratic leaders,” said Koremenos. “Every day more people understand that Brad Schimel is a prosecutor, not a politician and that he delivers results and improves public safety.”
