GOP AG Brad Schimel’s first TV ad of his re-election bid highlights his support from 63 of Wisconsin’s sheriffs, including 12 Dems.
A narrator opens the spot saying Schimel has the support of those sheriffs because “Wisconsin is leading the nation in the fight against opioid abuse.”
The spot then shows GOP Brown County Sheriff John Gossage, who says the state is better off with Schimel as AG.
“Through his leadership, through his dedication to public safety, I’m glad that Brad Schimel is our Attorney General,” he says.
Dem Taylor County Sheriff Bruce Daniels then closes the spot, “I think in this day and age of battling between Democrats and Republicans, it’s very refreshing to have a man of either party that follows through on his promises, and I’m glad Brad Schimel is our Attorney General.”
Schimel’s campaign said the spot, which began Friday, is running on broadcast and cable.
