I’m Wisconsin State Senator Dan Feyen. I’m from Fond du Lac and have the pleasure of representing 18th  district in the State Senate.

I’m sure you’ve heard the recent buzz about Foxconn choosing to build a manufacturing facility in Wisconsin. But how does this apply to you? Foxconn coming to Wisconsin will benefit the entire state through high-tech manufacturing growth.

In addition to its manufacturing facility, Foxconn has purchased a building in downtown Milwaukee to house the company’s North American headquarters employing 500 people. The Wisconn Valley Innovation Center has already spread beyond southeastern Wisconsin, Foxconn recently announced the purchase of an existing building in Green Bay to house another 200 employees.

In making these large, physical investments, Foxconn has bolstered our state’s construction industry.  The project is expected to create 16,000 direct & indirect construction jobs and has already employed workers in 60 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties.

So is Foxconn a good deal for the whole state of Wisconsin? You bet!

Foxconn’s presence in Wisconsin allows a pathway for our students and businesses to engage with the economy of the future- so don’t let anyone sell you the false tale that Foxconn won’t benefit every corner of our great state!
