(MADISON) – State Senator Patty Schachtner announced her first legislative survey for Senate District 10 this week. The survey is available online at www.SenatorSchachtner.com. Constituents may also call her office at (608) 266-7745 or email Sen.Schachtner@legis.wisconsin.gov to request a paper copy.

Senator Schachtner has made constituent engagement one of her top priorities. Since being sworn in in mid-February, 2018, Senator Schachtner has attended over 170 meetings and district events and responded to more than 3,280 constituent calls, emails, and letters. She has also hosted listening sessions in Baldwin, Amery, Glenwood City, Menomonie, Frederic, St. Croix Falls, and Hudson.

The legislative survey is another way for Senator Schachtner to engage with her constituents. Senator Schachtner is seeking community input on a variety of policy issues including transportation funding, education, and the $4.5 billion taxpayer-funded incentive package to Foxconn, a Taiwanese electronics manufacturing company.

“One of my top priorities has been to serve the community around me,” said Senator Schachtner (D – Somerset). “I did that as a health care provider, school board member, and medical examiner. Now, I have the privilege to serve others as your state senator.

“Constituent service can range from answering questions about legislation to helping individuals and victims find emergency housing. I am proud to be a resource for community members and I will continue to advocate for northwestern Wisconsin across the district and down in Madison.”
