Madison, WI – State Sen. Duey Stroebel (R-Cedarburg) has again received the “Working for Wisconsin” award from Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, the statewide chamber of commerce and manufacturing association. Previously he received the prestigious biannual award in 2012, 2014 and 2016. This year the award was given at Charter Steel, an industry leading supplier of steel bar, rod and wire in Saukville.

“My commitment to eliminating unnecessary regulations, fighting for lower, fairer taxes and empowering entrepreneurs of all sizes to compete in a free marketplace has never wavered,” Stroebel said. “It is an honor to again receive this award, and I look forward to supporting more pro-growth reforms in the next legislative session. Over the past several years we have done much to make Wisconsin an attractive state for job creators, and the data shows we’ve made the right policy choices. With historically low unemployment, and job opportunities across the state, we are the envy of the country. More work remains to be done, however, and I will always advocate for more efficient government, lower taxes and less spending.”

In a statement accompanying the award Kurt Bauer, president and CEO of WMC, commented “Sen. Stroebel is a solid leader who has delivered tremendous results for taxpayers and the business community. [He] has a passion for policies that support job creation and economic growth, which is imperative to our state’s future.”
