“Bitcoin donations to political campaigns would, among other issues, enable contributors to conceal their identities. Wisconsin residents should know who is funding campaigns and how much they are giving. Those core principles of openness and transparency would be further eroded if campaigns begin accepting bitcoin donations. That is why my gubernatorial campaign will not accept bitcoin either now or in the future.”
