PRAGUE – House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) released the following statement in response to action taken by the Trump administration, in conjunction with our NATO partners, to expel Russian diplomats from the United States and close a Russian consulate in Seattle, Washington.
“I’m pleased that Russia is being held accountable for its hostility. Following the sanctions announced this month, the Trump administration is making clear the United States stands with our allies and that there will be consequences for Russia’s recklessness. The United States must continue to lead international efforts to isolate Russia so that it understands its behavior will not be tolerated.”
