WASHINGTON—Today, the House unanimously passed landmark legislation to reform the Congressional Accountability Act. Following passage, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) released this statement:

“This legislation begins to remedy some of the areas where this institution has fallen unacceptably short. It includes strong reforms to protect victims, and improve accountability and transparency while addressing allegations. I want to thank Chairman Harper and Ranking Member Brady for working together in a positive way on behalf of the whole House. While this legislation begins to answer the call of this moment, creating lasting change to the culture will require continued vigilance by all of those who serve here.”
