Actions Speak Louder than Words
MADISON – Today, the Trump Administration approved Wisconsin’s 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver. In its waiver proposal, the Walker Administration initially projected that enrollment in the program would go down by 5,102. Assembly Democratic Leader Gordon Hintz (D-Oshkosh) released the following statement:
“Actions speak louder than words. On the campaign trail, candidate Scott Walker says he supports coverage for pre-existing conditions and lower premiums. Meanwhile, Governor Scott Walker’s actions just caused over 5,000 people to lose access to health care and will result in others seeing higher premiums. We just can’t trust what Scott Walker says about health care when his words don’t match his actions or track record.”
