JANESVILLE, Wis. – First Congressional District candidate Bryan Steil raised over $650,000 and set a new fundraising record, his campaign announced today. The total, raised between April 22 and June 30, set a new Wisconsin record for a first-time House candidate’s first fundraising period.

Steil for Wisconsin campaign manager Brandon VerVelde made the following statement:

“These fundraising numbers show that Bryan Steil is working hard to win the trust and confidence of the voters—just like he promised when he started this campaign on April 22. In addition to raising the resources necessary to get our positive message out, our campaign has secured key Wisconsin endorsements and is focused on running a grassroots-based campaign. We are in a strong position to win in November. No one will outwork Bryan, and we’re just getting started.”

The Steil campaign will report over $615,000 cash on hand. More than 85 percent of donors to Steil’s campaign are from Wisconsin.

Steil has built a strong coalition of support across Southeast Wisconsin including endorsements from grassroots activists, state lawmakers, a former primary opponent, Kenosha’s Reince Priebus, and Speaker Paul Ryan.

Bryan Steil was born and raised in Janesville, Wisconsin. He is a member of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and has a strong background as a business leader. For the past nine years, Bryan has worked for manufacturing companies in Rock County and has learned the importance of fiscal discipline and risks of government red tape. Bryan is running for Congress to reduce government overreach and prepare our workforce for the jobs of the future.
