Republican Bryan Steil says he raised $1 million over the third quarter, finishing the period with more than $630,000 in the bank.
The campaign also said 75 percent of Steil’s donors were from Wisconsin over the total three-month period. Fundraising reports are due today.
Steil, an attorney for a manufacturer, previously raised $659,433 over the 10 weeks after he got into the race for the 1st CD in mid-April, setting what the campaign said was a new record for the initial fundraising period of a first-time Wisconsin House candidate. He ended the period with $618,998 cash on hand.
Steil’s 1st CD opponent, Dem Randy Bryce, didn’t have his fundraising figures posted at the Federal Elections Commission site as of late this afternoon.
