Disability advocacy organizations respectfully request adoption of a targeted stakeholder process as the Senate moves toward likely passage today of a series of bills that will make significant changes to public benefit programs that people with disabilities rely upon. Public hearings for these bills did not result in amendments that comprehensively protect people with disabilities and their careproviders, therefore stakeholders must be part of drafting waiver proposals, beyond what the minimum public input process currently allows.

Survival respectfully requests that Senators adopt the stakeholder council amendment drafted at our request by Senator Vinehout:

Survival Coalition is comprised of more than 30 statewide disability organizations that advocate and support policies and practices that lead to the full inclusion, participation, and contribution of people living with a disability.
