New trilateral trade agreement opens new markets for Wisconsin exports
Osseo, WI – Following news of a new trade agreement between Canada, Mexico and the United States, Steve Toft released the following statement:
“This agreement is a huge win for Wisconsin farmers and everyone who relies on international trade,” said Toft. “The strategy of threatening tariffs to bring our trade partners to the negotiation table is again showing results. Critics of the Presidents strategy, like Ron Kind, have once again been proven wrong. When will Kind finally admit that Americans are benefiting from a growing economy under President Trump?”
Toft grew up on a farm in West Central Wisconsin, graduated from UW-Eau Claire and returned to Osseo after retirement. While serving 32 years in the Army, Toft served as a health care administrator. He lives there with his wife of 28 years Carla, together they have two grown children. His wife Carla also retired with rank of Colonel.
