First-time candidate launches first radio ad of the campaign

Osseo, WI – Steve Toft today announced a radio ad buy across the 3rd Congressional District, which highlights his military background and the need to replace Ron Kind in Congress. The ad will begin playing on stations across the 3rd on Monday, September 17th through the end of the month.

“Over 30 years ago, I took an oath to defend my nation at any cost. It was an oath that changed the course of my life and made me the leader that I am today,” said Toft. “I am running for Congress because I want to bring the lessons I learned in the Army to Washington and continue to serve my country. It is time to retire career politicians like Ron Kind”

Toft grew up on a farm in West Central Wisconsin, graduated from UW-Eau Claire and returned to Osseo after retirement. He lives there with his wife of 28 years Carla, together they have two grown children. His wife Carla also retired with rank of Colonel.

“Oath”

When you join the military, you take an oath to defend the United States Constitution.

My name is Steve Toft, and I’m running for Congress in Western Wisconsin.  I took that oath, rose to the rank of Colonel, and spent 32 years in the Army defending America and our freedoms…and leading men and women during war and peacetime.

I want to continue to serve our country because Washington could use more leaders and less career politicians.

I’m Steve Toft, a candidate for Congress and I approve this message.
