WASHINGTON, D.C. – Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy, Chairman of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing & Insurance, today released the following statement on the House unanimously passing his resolution requesting that the Secretary of the Interior recognize the rich history of the logging industry and the importance of lumberjack sports by adding the Lumberjack Bowl to the National Register of Historic Places:

“The Lumberjack Bowl has been home to the celebration of lumberjack sports for almost 60 years, and it deserves special recognition for its place in our culture and sporting heritage. That’s why I’m proud that the House unanimously passed my resolution to enshrine the Bowl to the National Register of Historic Places.”
