JANESVILLE, Wis. – Congressman-elect Bryan Steil (R-Janesville) today announced the hiring of his Congressional office leadership team.

Ryan Carney will serve as Chief of Staff in the Washington, DC office for Congressman-elect Steil. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of America and a sixteen-year government relations professional. Carney is currently Chief of Staff for Congressman Tom MacArthur (R-NJ).

Carney will begin his duties on January 3, 2019.

Serving as Wisconsin Chief of Staff for Congressman-elect Steil will be Rich Zipperer. Zipperer currently serves as a Commissioner on the Wisconsin Public Service Commission. Prior to this appointment, Zipperer was Governor Scott Walker’s Chief of Staff from 2015 to 2018. He also served in the Wisconsin State Senate and State Assembly after working for Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner in Washington, DC and Wisconsin. Zipperer will begin serving in the office of Congressman-elect Steil on January 7, 2019.

Congressman-elect Steil issued the following statement in response to the hires:
