(Fond du Lac, WI) – The Glenn Grothman for Congress campaign issued the following statement Friday in response to Democrat Dan Kohl’s campaign playing partisan politics with the victims of opioid addiction:

“It is shocking and sad to learn that Dan Kohl’s campaign is trying to score cheap political points by using the victims of addiction and their families as pawns in his attempt to buy a seat in Congress. Communities in Wisconsin’s 6th District and across our state have been ravaged by this terrible disease, and it is appalling that the Kohl Campaign would make light of this epidemic instead of joining in the conversation in a positive and productive manner. Addiction is not partisan, and it certainly isn’t a political issue. Dan Kohl should apologize for his campaign’s reckless actions so that we can all focus on how we can help the victims of opioids and eradicate this nightmare.”
