WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) released a new episode of his podcast “Hey, Wisconsin” featuring a conversation with Congressman Mike Gallagher, who represents Wisconsin’s 8th District in the U.S. House of Representatives after being elected to office for the first time in 2016.

In this podcast, Sen. Johnson and Rep. Gallagher discuss their shared Wisconsin roots, national security interests, and lessons from President Eisenhower (Gallagher wrote his thesis on Dwight D. Eisenhower for his PhD in international relations from Georgetown University.)

Rep. Gallagher tells Sen. Johnson about his journey to Congress from an Ivy League student studying Arabic to a Marine twice deployed to the Middle East to a staff member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee during the same time Sen. Johnson served on that committee.
