Village of Mount Pleasant, Wis. – Last night, the Village of Mount Pleasant Board of Trustees voted to accept offers from more than a dozen Village of Mount Pleasant property owners. The accepted offers are for a total of roughly 300 acres of land within the Foxconn project area.

“This approval means we will soon own almost 70 percent of the land within the total Foxconn area,” said Dave DeGroot, Mount Pleasant Village President. “This is great news as we plan for a groundbreaking and look forward to continued growth and development within the project area.”

After the closings are complete, these new properties will bring the Village’s total acquired acreage to more than 2,000 of the roughly 2,900 acre total Foxconn area. The Village continues to consider offers from property owners, and is moving forward with land acquisitions associated with infrastructure improvements, in accordance with state statutes.
