Voters headed to polls across the state today to narrow the field for several offices.

Voters faced a decision to choose a Republican U.S. Senate candidate, Democratic gubernatorial candidate, and finalists for lt. governor, state treasurer and secretary of state, in addition to primaries in several congressional districts.

Five Republicans are vying to face Democratic U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin while eight Dems are contending to run against Gov. Scott Walker in November.

Former Milwaukee Rep. Mandela Barnes and Sheboygan businessman Kurt Kober are the Dems seeking to challenge GOP Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch.

Democrat Arvina Martin is challenging Secretary of State Doug La Follette for the party’s nomination, while Republicans Spencer Zimmerman and Jay Schroeder are vying for the GOP’s nomination.

Republicans Travis Hartwig and Jill Millies are on the ballot for their party’s nomination for state treasurer, while Sarah Godlewski, Cynthia Kaump and Dawn Marie Sass are facing off on the Democratic side.
