MADISON, WI – With thoroughly discredited ads from conservative mega-donors continuing to lie to Wisconsinites about Senator Tammy Baldwin, the national veterans group, VoteVets.org, is today launching a nearly $1 million television and digital ad buy that includes an ad that calls out the lies, and sets the record straight. The ad will air through the end of the month across the state, and together with the digital ad component, will reach Wisconsinites multiple times.

In the ad, in front of news clips and fact check headlines, a voiceover says, “Out-of-state Oil Billionaires are playing politics with Wisconsin’s Veterans, with attack ads that have been called ‘false’ and ‘misleading’ by local news organizations and independent fact-checkers. Politifact Wisconsin ‘finds the evidence lacking.’ Here’s the truth: Senator Tammy Baldwin called for multiple investigations – and passed real reforms on opioids and strengthened oversight at VA hospitals like Tomah.”
