Brookfield, Wis. — U.S. Senate candidate and state Sen. Leah Vukmir released the following statement about that the economy added 200,000 jobs in January and hourly average private-sector earnings were up 2.9 percent:

“In spite of efforts by Sen. Baldwin and her liberal friends in Washington to stall America’s economic revival by playing politics with the pocketbooks of their constituents, we continue to see tremendous growth in opportunity and wages for workers and families.

“Many of the pro-growth, pro-jobs policies and reforms we’ve spent the last eight years implementing in Wisconsin are finally getting a chance to thrive at the federal level under conservative leadership. Today’s jobs numbers are further proof that we need to bring the Wisconsin Way to Washington to ensure continued growth and prosperity for each and every American.”

Leah Vukmir is a nurse, military mom and conservative with a proven record of reform who is running to bring the Wisconsin Way to Washington. She currently serves as a state senator from Brookfield.
