Vulmir campaign: Debate recap: Leah takes Sen. Baldwin to task on government-tun healthcare
Wausau, Wis. — In the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Debate, Leah Vukmir shared with Wisconsinites just how extreme and out-of-touch career politician Senator Tammy Baldwin’s plans for health care are:

“BaldwinCare will dismantle Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, a program that our veterans use. It will also dismantle the Affordable Care Act. It also gets rid of private insurance. I think that Senator Baldwin’s OK with that, I’m not… She wants to turn the entire shebang over to government.”

“When people have the type of insurance that works for them that would create the competition that would be necessary, prices are lowered and the quality of care to goes up. You don’t want that Senator Baldwin, you want prices to go up.”

“What Senator Baldwin is proposing will make it almost impossible for people to receive the care they want. If you don’t have private insurance and you’re the person who has that rare lung disease, you’re not able to see your doctor.”

In her closing remarks, Leah summed it up: “Senator Baldwin is someone who represents the extreme of her party. She looks to government for all of her solutions. I’m a mom with a cause. People in Wisconsin are looking for leaders who understand families. I know what its like to try to make ends meet, and I know what it’s like to try to get your kids through college. Senator Baldwin doesn’t understand the day-to-day struggles.”
