[Madison, Wis.] – The Wisconsin Troopers’ Association proudly endorsed Gov. Scott Walker in his campaign for governor, lending him the support of one of the premier law enforcement associations in the state as he continues to build on his record of backing our men and women in uniform and helping to keep our communities safe.
Gov. Walker’s proven track record of fighting for families and standing with law enforcement is shown by the policies he has enacted during his time in office. Most recently, the governor has championed policies like the bipartisan H.O.P.E. Agenda, which helps law enforcement tackle the opioid and illegal drug crisis in Wisconsin.
From Ryan Zukowski, Executive Director, Wisconsin Troopers’ Association:
“On behalf of the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association, we are proud to endorse Gov. Walker. The governor has shown an unmatched commitment to law enforcement and State Troopers during his time in office. We thank him for his work tackling the opioid epidemic, investing in a statewide police force and prioritizing transportation safety. We look forward to reelecting Scott Walker and working with him in the coming years.”
Statement from Gov. Walker on the endorsement:
“Thank you to the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association for your endorsement. We are proud to have your support in our campaign and proud of the work Wisconsin State Troopers do to keep our communities safe. We will continue to work with the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association as well as other law enforcement organizations to make Wisconsin an even safer and better place to live and raise a family.”
The Wisconsin Troopers’ Association proudly represents 500 of the state’s finest law enforcement officers. They work to increase safety on our state highways, combat the opioid epidemic, as well as work to reform penalties for drunk driving and other criminal activity on our roads. In addition, the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association created a Fallen Hero’s Fund which honors fallen troopers and provides financial support for families of the fallen troopers in the wake of tragedy.
