Gov. Scott Walker outraised Tony Evers during the August fundraising period, pulling in $2.3 million, compared to $1.9 million for his Dem rival.

Walker also spent $3 million between July 31 and Aug. 31, finishing last month with nearly $4.2 million in the bank, according to a copy of the guv’s cover sheet the campaign shared with WisPolitics.com.

Evers, meanwhile, spent $436,985 in the reporting period and finished the month with $1.6 million in the bank, according to his filing.

Walker’s full report hadn’t been posted to the Ethics Commission’s website by late this afternoon. Those reports are due by the end of today.
