(Green Bay, WI) Dean Haen, president of the Wisconsin Commercial Ports Association, issued the following statement on the appointment of Craig Thompson as Secretary of the Department of Transportation:
“On behalf of the Wisconsin Commercial Ports Association, I want to express our enthusiastic support for Governor-elect Evers’s choice of Craig Thompson to serve as the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation,” stated Dean Haen, Port of Green Bay Director and WCPA President. “Having served on the Board of Directors of the Transportation Development Association of Wisconsin, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Mr. Thompson over the years. He has a firm understanding of the important role our commercial ports play in the overall economy of the state of Wisconsin.”
“Craig has been a consistent advocate for ports at the federal and state levels and frequently reminds policymakers of the tremendous return on investment we get from supporting our ports,’” said Mr. Haen. “I can’t think of anyone better positioned to bring our state together around a shared vision for our entire transportation network.”
