Rep. Joel Kleefisch (608) 266-8551
Madison…Representative Joel Kleefisch (R-Oconomowoc) released the Weekly Radio Address on behalf of Wisconsin State Republicans.
Hello, I’m Representative Joel Kleefisch.
This holiday season, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year. Heading into a new year, it’s important to look back at all we’ve accomplished this legislative session.
I had the honor of championing four bills cracking down on human trafficking in our state. Law enforcement says these bills will make a difference in arresting human traffickers and saving the lives of children.
It’s also been an honor to lead the charge on the deadly opioid, fentanyl legislation. This legislation was passed by both houses of the Legislature and signed into law. Now, it’s a model nationwide.
In addition, we have a great economy and low unemployment. We’ve been dedicated to healthcare and education….in fact, Republicans made the largest investment in state history in K-12 education this past session.
During the holiday season, I want to express gratitude to all our servicemen and women serving our country both at home and overseas. Our thoughts, prayers, and good wishes are with you. Thank you for protecting our safety and the freedoms we all so deeply cherish.
It has been a productive year at the Wisconsin State Capitol. It’s been just one of many years for me serving in the state Assembly.
I’ve been so fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve the 38th Assembly District. I hope to stay in touch with so many of you.
My wife, Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and I are moving back into the private sector. We’ve been blessed to serve the people of this great state and will continue to do so.
Thank you so much, our beloved Wisconsin, for giving us the chance to watch history in the making. You are in good hands.
Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year to you and your family. Forward we go!
