The Wisconsin Education Association Council, the state’s largest association of public school educators, released the following statement upon the announcement that Carolyn Stanford Taylor, who currently oversees DPI’s Special Education Team, will be appointed as the Superintendent of Public Instruction to serve out the remainder of Tony Evers’ term after he takes the office of Governor.

“Wisconsin Public School educators are pleased with the announcement that Carolyn Stanford Taylor will be appointed as Superintendent of Public Instruction. She is well-known throughout the state as a qualified professional and leader, with a strong background in collaborating with teachers and school staff.”
