Cassville, Wis. – Make history come alive this summer as you experience NEW programs, events, and activities at Stonefield Historic Site. On May 26, Stonefield will reopen for the 2018 season with an Ag Appreciation Day Event.

“This day will debut a new tour of the State Agriculture Museum,” says Susan Caya-Slusser, site director for the Southwest Historic Sites. “The tour will highlight the how and why of Wisconsin farming and implements.”

Opening weekend at Stonefield will also include a variety of other fun, hands-on activities including a taste of the past at the farmhouse kitchen, experts from Southwest Tech, farming equipment, and much more!

Throughout the 2018 season, Stonefield will offer a variety of other programming and events including:

Independence Day Celebration (July 4): Celebrate a traditional 20th century Fourth of July with flags, treats, trivia, and more.
Great River Road Fall Festival (Sept. 22): Celebrate the Great River Road with music, an antique tractor pull, wagon rides, sorghum & broom making, hands-on activities, and more.
Safe and Spooky Halloween (Oct. 20): Trick-or-Treat through the child-friendly “haunted” Stonefield Village.
